My name is Rochelle, Owner of Aphrodite & Iris.

I created Aphrodite & Iris in 2018 after searching for a nail technician to help me kick my nail biting habit. I wasn't able to find one that was both trained correctly and non-judgmental about my nail biting habit so decided to study to become a nail technician myself and graduated in October 2018.

I pride myself in my ability to help clients grow their natural nails to a strong, healthy condition at the length they can be proud of but still function with day to day.

my qualifications

I am a fully qualified nail technician, I graduated from Monaco Nail Academy in October 2018 where I then became an educator for a short period of time before pursuing my business full time.

I then went on to to complete an e-file course in April 2019 so that I could offer safe and hygienic services using my electric file (it's basically a 'drill' for your nails) which meant I could provide a higher caliber of manicure and help those with overgrown cuticle achieve beautiful results with a gel polish manicure!

In August 2019 I completed a short course for lash lifting with Lash Holic Professional, an Australian based business . I learnt how to professionally, safely and hygienically provide a lash lift and tint to clients. I thoroughly enjoyed this course and I can't wait to be able to provide this service here in Marlborough again.

about me

I lived in Auckland up until November 2019 when my husband and I moved to Blenheim in search of a better work/life balance and to chase the dream of owning a lifestyle block which we now have nestled in the Wairau Valley. We have a black Labrador, Skyla, who you will hear me talk about often if you're sitting across from me while I paint your nails. I'm an absolute coffee addict and my favourite drink is a coconut milk flat white (you know, just in case you ever decided to bring me one during your appointment). When I'm not painting nails you can find me at home watching netflix or baking cookies!
